As a Therapeutic Massage Therapist, I help my clients address dysfunction to help reduce pain and allow them to lead an active and full life. My sessions take a multi-modality approach, incorporating techniques from sports and orthopedic massage, osteopathy, traditional Thai massage, cupping, and acupressure. Wanting to combine my love of massage therapy and my love of teaching, I am also an NCBTMB approved education provider. My courses focus on knowing why and what you are treating, not just the techniques for treating a client.
A concussion from playing ice hockey and a strong passion for helping people brought me to massage therapy in 2006. I discovered that massage therapy can be much more than relaxation and restoration, and could be used for healing physical ailments. In massage school, I specialized in sports and orthopedic massage therapy to learn the techniques to best help my active clients. From there, I traveled to Thailand to learn traditional Thai massage as another effective modality in restoring health and improve overall well being. Over the course of my career, I have added several modalities to best serve my clients including a certificate in osteopathy and a certificate in sound healing using tuning fork treatments.
As a recreational athlete and avid Colorado outdoors person, I understand that pain can get in the way of the activities that are our passion and a source of our happiness. Bodywork is vital to restoring health, performance, and general well being to allow us to function as whole individuals. I believe in living life with passion and happiness, which is what drives me as a massage therapist and educator.
